Who is that bearded man?
My name is Jonathan Franzone. I've been building web applications for over 20 years. I have worked for the public sector / government and on department of defense contracts. I have worked for an advertising agency, an online job board, a few software companies and currently, an online university.
Web applications should be functional and just make sense. Code should be beautiful, legible and maintainable. Software should meet the requirements and needs of the business.
I know a thing or two about this stuff
I developed software to aggregate data from globally distributed point of sale systems into a central Oracle database utilizing Java, PHP and RESTful webservices. This system also provided updates to connected clients.
I designed and implemented an online job board utilizing ColdFusion, Java and C++. I was also the systems administrator for multiple Oracle (8i) RDBMS servers and Red Hat Linux web servers.
I worked on a financial data management and reporting web application for a Department of Defense constract (SPAWAR). The system was built with Java on the Spring Framework and used Hibernate to map back to an Oracle database.
Starting as an intern for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, I worked on various intranet and internet applications using ASP, Java/JSP and ColdFusion for hospital and health related industries, moving into several full-time positions.
I was the system administrator for a Windows network, a database administrator (SQL Server) and a web developer (ColdFusion).
